Crafting Immersive Experiences: My Journey as a Fulldome Content Creator in Dubai
In recent years, immersive experiences have become a norm, from art installations to corporate events happening in Dubai. Companies are shifting from the ordinary displays to something more exciting to engage their audience. And here lies the magic of Fulldome, a 360° dome theater that wraps around the viewer and pulls them into entirely new worlds.
As a freelance Fulldome content creator in Dubai, I’ve had the privilege of working on projects that bring this magic to life. Whether designing the abstract visualizations or telling an event story, I approach each project with a single goal: creating Fulldome content that doesn’t just look good, but makes it unforgettable for the people experiencing it.
What Makes Fulldome So Powerful?
Unlike traditional screens, Fulldome environments (usually projected in domes or spheres) surround the viewer. You’re not watching from the outside, you’re inside the story. Here are some more technical details for domes
What it means to me is to give my audience the sense of immersion:
- How does the virtual camera tell the story?
- How do visuals and music play in harmony?
It’s not about throwing in effects, it’s about creating a virtual atmosphere.

My Creative Process: From Concept to Creation
Every Fulldome project begins with a question: What is the message, and what do we want the audience to feel?
Clients in Dubai always come with challenges, and we have to push our boundaries for every Fulldome content development we have done in the past. Every project comes with its own challenges.
Anyway, once the direction and client’s brief are clear, I move into the storyboarding stage directly for 360° space. Here, I usually do a lot of research for creating scenes and what the compositions will look like in a curved environment.
Expect a lot of hide-and-seek here with the client, as collaboration is at the heart of what I do. I don’t just deliver content, I partner with clients, understand their vision, and evolve ideas together. That’s where the best work comes from.
Once the storyboard is locked, I start developing scenes. My tools of the trade? Cinema4D, After Effects, Premiere, Red Giant, and a lot of plugins to make things look good.
Let’s briefly dig into some case studies of projects I did in the past.
Case Studies: Projects I’ve Brought to Life
Case Study 1: Space-Themed Fulldome Planetarium Show
Summary: A short educational film for a Dubai-based company explaining about the life in space. Some scenes eliminated due to signed NDA.
Case Study2: Desalination plants in KSA: Brine Water Utilization
Summary: There were 3 videos in total explaining about the desalination process in a Fulldome projection.
Case Study 3: Prehistoric life in KSA
Summary: This is a 3d animatic of a show which was done for general audience telling them a story about the prehistoric life in KSA. Final video can’t be shown due to signed NDA.
Why Dubai is Perfect for Fulldome theaters?
Dubai is already known for its innovation, architecture, and experiences. It’s a city that embraces the future, which is exactly why immersive content has such a strong foothold here. From immersive installations to cutting-edge museums and creative events, there’s always a growing need for digital content that goes beyond the ordinary. Dubai Design District (D3), Alserkal Avenue, AYA Universe, Arte Museum in Dubai Mall, and the list goes on.
As someone based here, I love contributing to this vision. Helping brands, institutions, and artists bring their dome ideas to life in ways that are technically sound and emotionally resonant.
Let’s Build Something Memorable Together
If you’re in Dubai, planning a Fulldome projection and want someone who brings both creative insight and hands-on experience, I’d love to hear what you’re working on. I’m always open to collaborating on new ideas, large or small.
Let’s connect and turn your vision into an immersive experience, your audience won’t forget.
